Alberto De Martino's trashy cult superhero film. It's absolutely abysmal, make no bones about it, but it has a certain cult campiness and simple-minded charm. Feel free to love it or loathe it!

Maritime thriller based on a bestseller by Geoffrey Jenkins, starring Richard Johnson, Honor Blackman and Roy Dotrice.
That's funny ,all of the dangerous reefs and rocks disappeared at the end😮.
Great film. Derring do & excitement! Super fun film of the classic action-adventure type. And just what I needed to cheer me up on an 'orribly wet Sunday afternoon! 🙂 When I saw the galleon in the desert, I suddenly had deja-vu . . . I remembered seeing Matthew McConaughey & cast find a modern warboat in the desert - & a treasure too, I seem to remember! - in a 2005 film named 'Sahara' !! 😀. . .Great to see that the newer film was perhaps inspired by this film of 40 years earlier?? They each have the same ingenious plot device, any road. 👌 Thanks for the upload! 👍
they came through a reef of narrow rocks (many) to reach the shore yet when they looked back to sea from land there was not one rock in sight... and are we to assume Honor Blackman quickly turned into a ship's engineer/navigator? her hair was beautifully coiffed throughout so anything's possible...
Boring.
Gee. It was really seven years ago when I posted that. I think I'll watch it again.
Forgot how great this story, and cast, is...

J KEMP, STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITES
what a treat!! Malta!! After watching Pulp… its the only place i want to live 😄
Thus is adorable and so fun to watch! Richard Harris is the perfect choice! ❤
I always see actors who have "doubles" in the same acting field as in this case, John Hannah (The Mummy). He could have been a James Bond if he had taken the job and bumped Sean Connery out of being the beginning "Bond". I can't believe that he wad married for a short time to the still living Kim Novak. I really liked him in "The Haunting".
Sorry, but this 'film' was a waste of time, predictable, and the first time I've ever given a negative review. View at your own discretion.
Saw this as a young kid on television sometime in the early to mid 80s. The only thing I remembered of it for the past 40 years is the opening and closing music. Had completely forgotten about the animation. Seeing this in 2024 has unlocked a childhood memory.

There is another movie of this vintage made about cross channel English Smugglers who used Ex Services PT Boats and Rescue Boats to outrun the police in English Channel Fog.
59:28 If it's in water so shallow the sail's sticking out the huns could have easily found it if they'd bothered to look, and concluded that it was sunk by der Tommyenglanderpiggendoggen and not defective. 1:20:01 You should keep an empty container in case you get a chance to refill it.
First thought I had about Johnson during the first scenes was “he could easily have been Bond”. Then in researching him I found he had actually been the first choice to be Bond 👍🏻
Very good job dudes!! Congratulations 991.41% yo. Splendid yet very elegantly mega boffo work by 888 bonus points.🏅🎊🎊🎊🎊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👨🎨👩🎤♥️♥️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🏊♂️🇺🇸🇺🇸I love Richard Harris's soft voice!
What was the point of this film. Three dead and nothing to show for it.
That IS the point of this film......
Fabulous movie! Action, adventure, excitement, tension. So glad the woman in the movie wasn't written as a constant screamer who needed rescuing every 5 minutes. Thanks for uploading it!
Pussy Galore was NOT a screamer.
Jeremy Kemp was in Z' Cars an excellent breeding ground, with the likes of Brian Blessed,Colin Welland and James Lynch.
Kenneth Cope still alive must be in his nineties and residing in the North West I believe.
Was there only one Etosha? I remember watching a documentary about some people exploring the sunken ship 'Etosha.'
The River of Diamonds - Grue of Ice - *A Twist of Sand* - Scend of the Sea - A Ravel of Waters - A Cleft of Stars - Bridge of Magpies - A Hive of Dead Men - A Daystar of Fear .... etc.... All from the prolific pen of Geoffrey Jenkins whose enigmatic titles are mere hints of the story within. Here then is a pretty faithful cinematic adaptation of the book of the same name.
Watering Place of Good Peace (Aguada da Boa Paz) That's the number One for Me ...
Came across this while drinking coffee this morning. Fine movie, superb acting. An era long gone.
Excellent film! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
A great movie, from a time before CGI , when actors had to actually act! A a good story of a tale of greed and where poetic justice came into play at the end!
the Goonies
Thanks jondabell, ....Excellent movie, made at the time of quality productions. Just squizz down at all the comments below, and you will see all POSITIVE ones! .....NOT a "Classic", but worth watching, ands I'm glad I did , Eric in Australia 🐨🐨🦘🦘
everything that's missing in modern movies. This is a gem of a movie
Guliver
Gem💎
Good movie, except for how is the boat "parked" in an ocean without rocky shoals? Suddenly all the rocks disappeared??
1:00:44 I watched this movie countless times as a child and never noticed this.
I looked up Australian movies and this is what came up ?????
Wow. I love how this version was marketed for kids, but kept true to the message that war is always just so stupid. Whether an egg should be eaten from the small or large end...and people are willing to kill each other over it...just about sums up humanity.
Love this movie very much
Based on the 1959 novel by Geoffrey Jenkins
I saw this turkey on tv 36 years ago at five and it sucked! Glad mst3k riffed this stinker

7/10. A Bizarre yet fairly faithful adaptation of Jonathan Swifts Infamous Tales.
Watched this as a kid, all I remember was the crazy ending, good times.
When I was a kid, I watched this on the Disney channel.
The ending gave me nightmares for years😂😂
If Hitler made nothing but subs he would have won ww2, the Chinese are doing the same thing... History repeats itself.
I remember watching this program on the Disney channel.
I ENJOYED IT
1:00:32 as a memory just came back to me, I had to search a bit to find this scene.
And a very good scene it is.
1:07:00 I think I had a forgotten memory unlocked as well though it was extremely vague just a man specifically wearing glasses to protect his eyes from flying arrows. I don't know if this is it but I'm not sure what else it could possibly be. Even though everything else from this movie feels like new viewing to me. 😅
This is almost unwatchable.
Basically better film than Resident Evil movies and games
especially in 140p pretending to be 480p !!
😂i have no words the mst3k episode is better than watching this uncut
